Banned for violating community guidelines.
Though I do not know exactly which guidelines I violated, I do know it is connected to the in-game chat. I engaged in banter with a group of players (Justin, Birdeye, not sure about the other usernames). I was engaging in banter with another player called Justin: in the in-game chat, we were going back and forth over his chat messages he was posting about getting roof camped (by another player, neither my group nor I engaged in camping or interacting with Justin). It was benign from my perspective, and he never told me to stop, and he even continued to play with me in the chat. It was only a few messages, and I neither used any slurs, nor did I say anything except parrot his messages back to him in a different form; We were all surprised by his toxic behavior, and we thought it would be beneficial to show him his own hypocrisy)
He was berating and swearing at me constantly, and eventually, many players on the server were complaining in chat about Justin. I don’t want Justin to get in trouble or anything and I won’t turn over any screencaps to show what he said (but all I will say is that I had to turn my chat filter on). I wanted to let you know that my group is beneficial to the server, we help out nakeds, and we often give away many items from our raids to other players on the server.
I know that I was likely causing him to mald, and it was sincerely my intention to do this at the time, realizing now that it is possible to go too far; I regret my actions.
I am not interested in disrupting gameplay on the server, and I apologize for using the in-game chat for banter. Though seemingly harmless to me, I have clearly done something wrong and I accept that if unbanned, the behavior will not continue.
